the industry

The legalization of cannabis is at a pivotal moment in US history, with more and more states giving the green light on both medicinal and recreational use. Sized at $5.7 Billion dollars, the cannabis industry is the fastest growing industry in the US with new formats and innovation promising to propel the industry forward exponentially.

Cannabis culture, historically hidden in the shadows, now abounds with opportunity for redefinition. As it makes its way towards full legalization and social acceptance, there is a huge opportunity to answer previously unaddressed needs.

why now?

On November 8, 2016, five states – Arizona, California, Maine, Massachusetts and Nevada – are voting to legalize recreational cannabis sales use. Another two states – Florida and Missouri – are voting to legalize medical sales and use. If these referendums pass, which most are expected to, cannabis will be legal for recreational purchase and use in nine states plus DC and legal for medical purchase and use in 27 states (23% of the US population and 64%, respectively).
